These juicy and delicious sliders are full of flavor and are perfect for a party or game day!
I can’t think of too many things better than sliders. They are great for parties and are super easy to throw together to feed a crowd. Each time that I make these sliders, they are a huge hit. Everyone always loves them. I will be making these for the Superbowl!
These sliders have the perfect amount of kick. They have spice, but they are not too hot. They have more of the jalapeño flavor than the heat. They also have grated cheese that is cooked INSIDE of the sliders. That is the secret. When the sliders are cooked with the cheese inside, it helps to keep them juicy – and you get cheese in each bite and not just on top! Which means, MORE FLAVOR. So good.
I like ground turkey for these sliders, but use whatever you would like. Cheddar is what I typically on have on hand so I usually use that, but Monterey Jack would also be super delicious. I like to use fresh jalapeños in this recipe. I always take the seeds out, but if you would like more heat, leave them in. I have also used jarred sliced jalapeños when I don’t have fresh, I just dice them up. I always have those jarred jalapeños in the fridge as my husband eats them on almost everything. I use a little more of the jarred jalapeños than of the fresh jalapeños.
This recipe can easily be doubled, or tripled. I use a pound of ground turkey and get about 6 – 7 sliders per pound. I add all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix with my hands to then shape the sliders.
There are a few different ways that you can cook these sliders. You can cook them on the grill, on the stovetop, or brown them on the stovetop and finish them off in the oven. The last option is what I do. I like to brown them on the stovetop and finish them in the oven – this way, I don’t run the risk of browned on the outside and not done on the inside.
Just remember – whatever way that you decide to make these sliders, do not press down on them with a spatula. That makes the juices expel from the meat, which equals a dry slider. No one likes a dry slider.
I usually always use Hawaiian Rolls for the buns – there is just something about the spicy from the slider and the sweet from the roll. It truly is the perfect combination. I didn’t in the photos above. But trust me.
Top with your favorites – lettuce, tomato, more cheese (my husband always adds more to the top), mayo, or my favorite – Sriracha Mayo! If you love Sriracha like I do – You should try it with mayo on this burger. I mix two tablespoons of mayo with a teaspoon or Sriracha. That makes enough for most of the burgers in one pound of meat. Delish.
Hope you love these sliders as much as my family and I do! They are the perfect game day treat!
