Hi there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet! My name is Ashley, and I am so glad that you are here! I am a self-taught cook/food enthusiast/lover of all things chocolate.
I am a school psychologist by day, and blogger by night. My husband, Tony, and I got married in 2016. We live in South Carolina, with our sweet pup, Hercules.
My appetite knows no bounds – it is not loyal to a specific type of food – as long as it is good, and I enjoy it.. it’s fair game. I make a wide variety of foods, from healthy recipes to buttery-filled, indulgent desserts… which pretty much means that you are sure to find something right up your alley!
Growing up, I discovered an absolute love for cooking. I became fascinated with the Food Network, and all of the amazing chefs that graced my television screen. This passion for cooking has always helped me to decompress after a long or stressful day. However, I found that after I got married, I kind of fell into a bit of a food funk. After working all day, trying to be active, along with never ending housework, I slowly felt myself cooking boring meals just to get it done, and to just put food on the table. I was starting to cook the same things each week, and it was becoming very, very boring. After some complaints from my husband, I eventually realized that I could make tasty food without spending hours and hours in the kitchen.
So with this blog, I am getting back to my love for cooking by exploring and creating recipes that aren’t crazy complicated, but are also delicious. I will also share some tips and tricks that I have learned along the way. Hopefully, you will find them helpful.
The recipes that I post are inspired by cookbooks, other food blogs, magazines, as well as family recipes. I am by no means a chef, professional photographer or writer; I just love to cook and share it with friends and family. This blog is simply about creating deliciousness in the kitchen.
